Quantitative liver MRI

See the change before histology can.

Product vision: a multidimensional, quantitative view of liver biology from a single non-contrast MRI, to support earlier identification, risk stratification and monitoring of chronic liver disease.

cT1 mapping turns standard MRI into a tissue-level readout of liver health, quantitative tissue characterization beyond stiffness alone. Peer-reviewed across 100+ publications, regulator-qualified, and used as a trial endpoint across multiple commercial programs. cT1 is on the FDA pathway for Reasonably Likely Surrogate Endpoint qualification in MASH, with full approval anticipated from 2029.

What cT1 actually sees.

Inflammation, fibrosis, and steatosis, read together as a single quantitative map, not three separate calls.

"The image carries the argument. Everything else on the page is footnote."

Tissue characterization, not just stiffness

Beyond elastography, into the tissue itself.

Ultrasound-based methods measure liver stiffness alone. cT1 reads the tissue.

What stiffness alone misses

Liver fibrosis presents differently across MASH, autoimmune hepatitis, post-COVID hepatic injury, and longitudinal treatment response. Stiffness elastography (FibroScan and similar) is fast, well-reimbursed, and ubiquitous in screening clinics, the right tool for high-volume triage. But stiffness alone cannot separate active inflammation from established fibrosis, cannot quantify steatosis, and cannot follow tissue-level treatment response below the stiffness threshold of clinical change.

What cT1 adds

cT1 quantifies fibroinflammation activity, PDFF quantifies fat content, T2* quantifies iron, all in a single MRI sequence. The result is a tissue-level readout that separates “active disease” from “stable scarring,” tracks treatment response below biopsy-grade variability, and serves as a regulator-grade endpoint for MASH and related trials. Screening velocity is one job; trial-grade characterization is another. LiverMultiScan is built for the second.

cT1 and elastography are complementary, not interchangeable. Use the right tool for the question being asked.

Evidence

The standard, peer-reviewed across 100+ publications.

Across MASH, NAFLD, autoimmune hepatitis, and post-COVID hepatic injury, peer-reviewed cT1 evidence has been published in Nature Medicine, The Lancet Gastroenterology, Journal of Hepatology, and Radiology among others.
